New Fabric Store in Ottawa!

I am so beyond excited about the new fabric store that recently opened in my hometown of Ottawa Ontario!
Fabrications is located at 1098A Somerset Street West and has been open since the end of November.
I went in yesterday to see what it was all about and instantly fell in love with their fabrics and with the fun environment they've created.
They will be offering sewing classes in the New Year, and their website is almost up and running!

My Craft Room!

I wanted to post a few pictures of my craft room! It's my favourite room in the house:) It's going to be getting a good clean soon and some re-organizing so that I can start on my new projects! My 2013 New Years Resolution is to craft ALL YEAR...not just in time for the November shows!
(It's not usually this messy but craft season just ended...)

Craft Shows 2012

Wow, what a crafting season...didn't think I'd make it, but after all was said and done, I was very happy with what I accomplished in a short time! I was very happy with my craft collection...I did a few new things with Embroidery and tried my hand at patchwork!

My trip to Purl Soho

We're home safe and sound from NYC, and I was so happy I got the chance to go to what is now my FAVOURITE yarn/crafty store, The Purl Soho...here are some photos of me in front of the store!

This week, we're heading to NYC for a long weekend! I can't wait..I love New York, and I am so excited to be going with my man! What I'm even more excited about is going to the Purl Soho.

I have loved this store for ever, and now I get to actually go to it, and will hopefully buy myself a treat!

Fun with Yarn

Every Thursday we get the weekly flyers...and my absolute favourite one is the Michaels Flyer!!!! Why you ask? Because there is always a coupon for 40% or 50% off items in the store, and when they have deals, they are really good.
My latest purchase was this Martha Stewart Merino Wool Yarn...only $2.99 a ball. AMAZING!
Now, what to make with it...hmm...?!?!?!

I love Fall...

I'm so excited, it's almost September, which means it's almost FALL...the BEST season in my opinion!
The clothes, the cooler weather, the pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks...who can resist!
It's also the time of year when I start getting ready for Craft Season! I've already applied for two shows, which means now I must start actually making some products to sell!!!!!

I've been doing some brainstorming, thinking about what goods I would like to make...pillows again?! Maybe some knitted items? Baby items? For now, I'm researching and sourcing great fabric and ideas...I'm open to suggestions!

2012

Happy New Year fellow bloggers and followers!

What a year 2011 was...the best year yet...so I'm very excited to be entering into 2012 with such hope and excitement for what is to come!

To start the year off right, I bought some new fabric from a cute little store in Toronto called Workroom theworkroom.ca They have beautiful quilting weight fabric, from Moda. I'm hoping to find some inspiration for these fabrics and will keep you posted on what I make!
